Kawau Boating Club

2016-04-27_192118A piece of maritime history has been given a new lease of life by a group of enterprising yachties and Kawau Island residents.  When RNZYS closed the Kawau Island Yacht Club back in April 2014 an important asset in the Hauraki Gulf for boaties was lost. The club and its amenities are the only facilities for the boating public on an island in the Hauraki Gulf which are operated by a Club and which offer all weather shelter.

The newly named Kawau Boating Club Inc opened its doors to everyone with an Inaugural Opening Regatta at Labour Weekend 2014 in conjunction with Mahurangi Cruising Club.

Everyone is welcome to join and you can become a member by emailing info@kawauboatingclub.co.nz or clicking on the button below to join now and pay online:

After another successful summer season the club will be closed after Queen’s Birthday weekend and open again mid October.  The toilets and shower area will under go refurbishment during this time.

The Kawau Boat Club is a great asset for Kawau Island with a yummy menu, superb atmosphere and excellent venue for that special birthday or anniversary.   Pop in a say hello to Davo & Robyn, enjoy a refreshing beverage, lunch or dinner, while overlooking Bon Accord Harbour.
